Miraleste Parks and Recreation District

The Miraleste Parks and Recreation District is Los Angeles County supported agency. Our mission is to maintain the 45 acres of parkland in the Miraleste area. Maintenance includes fire suppression, rain and flood water control and caring for the flora and fauna in our geographical area. Additionally, we provide creation and upkeep for the various parks and trails under our supervision.

Some of the reasons that you might want to contact us:

  • You need to access your own property with heavy equipment via one of the MPRD trails.
  • You have a view or safety issue with some of our trees, trails or parks.
  • You are putting up a structure or plantings, and it might impact the MPRD property.
  • Anything else? We are happy to talk.

Meetings: We have a public meeting on the first Monday of even months, at 7:30 pm at 19 Miraleste Plaza, Rancho Palos Verdes, 90275.

History: The Miraleste Parks and Recreation District was founded in 1942. The mission has remained unchanged, to provide care and maintenance of the parkland in our region, while giving local control to the people who live within it. All members of the Board of Directors are volunteers.

Covid:19 issues: Our next meeting will be held as usual, but we will practice social distancing following all "Best Practices" to prevent the spread of the virus. Masks are mandatory. You will not be allowed to attend the meeting without a functional mask, so please bring one.
